Ok here we go, first post. Will begin with Introductions, Hi! My name is Miriam, but everyone calls me Becky. No it's not my middle name and there is no funny background story on how I got that name, but I'll tell you anyways. I worked at Starbucks a few years ago and my friend and I started calling each other Becky and for some strange reason it just stuck? Go figure? I'm currently Employed at Nordstrom Rack and have been there for 3 years and am ready to move on, but afraid to take any step. I LOVE fashion and would like to be a part of it for the rest of my work life, but unfortunately I'm not a big risk taker which is what is killing me. Fashion is ALL about risk! and now that this plus size movement has taken flight I should take full advantage of every opportunity I can find. I did try recently though. I applied at Topshop for Visual Merchandising and I was extremely nervous and googled EVERYTHING about the job interview process and perhaps I was a little too confident. I wasn't called back for a second interview and I wasn't completely surprised because I've never had a job with that title, but that is part of my job. I go in in the mornings put out the merch and style mannequins, but I guess that's not enough. They did offer me another position, but didn't get it. So as you can see I don't like NO for an answer so If I don't apply I don't hear it? Enough of that in this Blog you are gonna see Fashion that inspires me, How many different styles I wear, diys, home décor pretty much every adventure I can find or get my hands on!
